LISA JACKSON
BA, DHyp, PDCHyp, MBSCH, GHR (Reg), GQHP*
Having helped thousands of people over the past 20 years to fall pregnant, give birth easily, quit smoking and vaping, lose weight, stop nail-biting and overcome exam, driving test, public-speaking and marathon nerves, I’m passionate about sharing the benefits of hypnotherapy with my clients.
I hold a first-class BA degree in English, Psychology and Linguistics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
I hold a Certificate, Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis from the London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy International, one of the UK’s best-known hypnotherapy colleges.
I am a Certified HypnoBirthing Fertility Consultant, having trained with Lynsi Eastburn, creator of the HypnoBirthing Fertility programme. I have also completed the Advanced Training In Fertility Through Hypnosis course with Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer, formerly a hypnotherapist at the Zita West Fertility Clinic and the author of The Fertile Body Method
I am a highly experienced Hypnobirthing teacher: I’ve taught over 500 couples and have lectured about Hypnobirthing at five London hospitals (Croydon University Hospital, Princess Royal University Hospital, St George’s Hospital, Orpington Hospital and St Helier Hospital).
I have also trained as a doula (professional birth companion) with the world-renowned water-birth pioneer Michel Odent, and have attended two National Childbirth Trust (NCT) courses.
I am a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register and have been awarded The General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice by The General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. Members adhere to a code of conduct and are bound by strict rules of confidentiality.
I am a member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis, a professional body whose aim is to promote and assure high standards and ethical practice.
I have full Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Indemnity Insurance.
I have a Leadership in Running Fitness coaching qualification from England Athletics
Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I worked as a journalist on Cosmopolitan magazine before spending 11 years on Zest, a health and fitness magazine.
In May 2017, I was one of 40 individuals who were featured in The Sunday Times‘s Alternative Rich List aka The Enriched List, as being someone whose life has been ‘rich in experience, rich in spirit, rich in life’, an honour I shared with the likes of Vivienne Westwood, David Attenborough and Banksy.
In 2019, I was honoured to be one of 400 women nominated in the prestigious Women of the Year Awards ‘for making a difference every day’. My fellow nominee that year was none other than Sally Gunnell.

I’m the author of two hypnotherapy books: Adore Yourself Slim (Simon & Schuster) and Quit For Ever! Stop Smoking and Vaping the Super-quick, Easy and Fun Way (Little Bandit Books).
I’ve also written three running books: Running Made Easy (over 110,000 copies sold), the award-winning Your Pace or Mine?, which has been in the top 50 in Amazon’s Running & Jogging category for over a decade and which has over 1,400 reviews, and Still Running After All These Tears: A Runner’s Journey Through Grief
I’m frequently quoted in the press and have been a speaker at The National Running Show, Chris Evans’ RunFestRun, the Vitality Show, Be:FIT, the 261 Fearless Pass the Baton Women’s Running Conference and the University of the Highland and Islands in Perth, Scotland.
I am often interviewed on podcasts including Paula’s Run Club, Runner’s World Podcast, Women’s Running Podcast, UKRunChat, Running Commentary, Band of Runners, Tough Girl Podcast, Brian’s Rod Pod and Women’s Running Stories. I have also been interviewed on Virgin Radio, BBC Radio Sussex and Talk Radio Europe, and was featured on BBC South East’s TV news.
