Regularly practising yoga during pregnancy is a way to not only tone and strengthen your body for birth but also helps to complement your HypnoBirthing classes because it encourages mental relaxation, too.
ROSANNA KALLIABETSOS is a Hatha yoga teacher and Reiki Master and founded InJoy! to provide Birthlight Pregnancy Yoga classes for mums-to-be, mums, couples and their babies. She also offers birth preparation classes. Rosanna's classes are intimate and friendly and are held in South Croydon. She also teaches at The Life Centre in Notting Hill. KATHLEEN BEEGAN teaches pregnancy yoga classes in her home in Streatham, south London. The two-hour classes combine gentle stretching, toning, breathing and relaxation techniques for pregnancy and labour, and are followed by time for discussion (and tea!) The classes are friendly and relaxed and suitable for all abilities, even if you've never done yoga before. GORDON SPENCE started yoga at the age of 13 and gained a British Wheel Of Yoga Teaching Diploma in 1978. He is also a psychotherapist and counsellor. Gordon runs The School Of Yoga which offers ante-natal yoga classes in blocks of eight weeks at the Croydon Friends Meeting House, 60 Park Lane, Croydon, as well as general yoga classes in Selsdon, Croydon and Westminster.
