Passing Driving Tests
PASS YOUR TEST WITH EASE – AND DRIVE WITH CONFIDENCE
With so much to remember when you’re learning to drive, it’s no wonder passing a driving test (and even driving after you’ve passed) is so stressful. But it needn’t be. Hypnotherapy can help to set you free from a fear of failure, and instead help you to feel calm, relaxed and in control of yourself as well as the car.
Through hypnotherapy you’ll learn relaxation and visualisation techniques that’ll give you the confidence to sail through your test – or return to driving if you’ve lost your confidence.
In an article published in The Times consultant well-being psychologist Dr Nick Baylis says that self-hypnosis ‘can provide a low-cost, low-risk virtual training environment in which to practise our skills in preventing and relieving stress and anxiety.’
‘Just to let you know that your 100% record still stands, as I passed my driving test today! The techniques really helped me, especially the breathing (every time we stopped at traffic lights I was doing it). I cannot believe I’ve finally got over this hurdle, and will use your methods to get me through the next stage – becoming a confident driver!’ LR, Croydon
‘I used to class myself as quite a confident person until I started to take driving lessons. Every time I got in the car, I’d get extremely nervous and panicky, and drive terribly. Finally, after 18 months of lessons, I booked my test. I was terrified, so I went to Lisa for performance anxiety hypnotherapy. A month before the test, I started doing self-hypnosis every day and as test day drew nearer, I felt less anxious. On the day, I remained calm and in control, and passed my test with flying colours! I would still be taking lessons now, six months on, if I hadn’t gone to Lisa.’ AB, Maidstone
‘I can honestly say I can’t remember how many times I failed my driving test! Each bad experience made me more nervous about the next – so I gave up trying for a decade. I started lessons again in my early 30s, but during the test a voice in my head kept saying, “I can’t do this!” Needless to say, I failed again. Hypnotherapy was very much a last resort. It’s difficult to express how incredibly well it worked. After seeing Lisa, I practised self-hypnosis twice a day for 10 days. Taking the test this time was a completely different experience. I won’t claim I wasn’t nervous, but these felt like “normal” nerves and I always felt I was in control of them. I don’t think I’ve ever felt such a sense of achievement as when I was told I’d passed. I hadn’t really believed I’d ever pass, and it was Lisa that changed that. The moment I started believing I could do it, I could! I can’t thank Lisa enough.’ HD, Dulwich
‘I had 4 sessions with Lisa in order to try and pass my driving test after 5 failed attempts. She was incredibly warm and welcoming, and really led me to understand how the problems I was facing were mind over matter. She helped me learn and apply techniques to put myself in the best possible success scenario. I’m pleased to say that I passed my test 4 days after my last session! I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone else in a similar situation.’ LC, London
