An article in the Daily Mail in February 2007 reported that in a study of 20 secondary-school pupils who were undergoing treatment for anxiety-related problems, the ten who were given hypnotherapy not only saw a greater reduction in their anxiety levels, but also had a reduction in their feelings of hopelessness, compared with the ten students who were taught more traditional relaxation techniques.
